Low-Density Polyethylene
A versatile polyethylene material used for a wide range of custom bags, film, sheeting and shrink-film applications.
Polyethylene Manufacturing Capabilities
Extrusion. Flexographic Printing. Converting.
Film-Pak controls the manufacturing process from polyethylene film extrusion through flexographic printing and final bag converting at our facility in Crowley, Texas.
Complete Manufacturing Control
Instead of relying on separate suppliers for film, printing and bag production, Film-Pak performs the major manufacturing processes within one facility.
This gives us direct control over film specifications, printing, converting, production scheduling and the finished product that reaches our customer.
Polyethylene Film Extrusion
Film-Pak manufactures the polyethylene film used in our custom bags, sheeting and shrink-film products.
Our in-house extrusion department allows Film-Pak to control important film characteristics including gauge, width and film properties before the material reaches printing or converting.
Custom Poly Bag Printing
Custom logos, graphics, instructions and product identification can be printed directly onto polyethylene film.
Film-Pak operates two six-color flexographic printing presses, allowing customers to add professional custom printing to poly bags, film and other polyethylene packaging products.
Custom Bag Manufacturing
Extruded and printed polyethylene film is converted into finished custom bags within Film-Pak's facility.
Our converting department produces multiple bag configurations so Film-Pak can take a job from raw resin all the way through finished polyethylene packaging.
Additional Production Capability
Film-Pak also operates in-line equipment that combines polyethylene film extrusion with printing, bag production and separation during the manufacturing process.
One-color random printing capability integrated directly with film extrusion for applications that do not require multi-color flexographic printing.
Integrated bag converting equipment allows extruded polyethylene film to be converted into bags on rolls or loose-pack bags as part of the production process.
In-line separation equipment helps separate and handle finished bags after converting for efficient downstream production and packaging.
Why It Matters
A vertically integrated polyethylene manufacturing process gives Film-Pak direct visibility into each major stage of production.
Film characteristics can be managed before printing and converting begin.
Multiple manufacturing departments can work together around custom customer requirements.
Customers work with the manufacturer rather than moving through multiple outside suppliers.
Film-Pak remains involved from extrusion through the final bag, film or sheeting product.
